Kids Summer Camp
I have Arranged summer camp for kids of age group 4 to 8 years. It was really nice experience to enjoy each & every activity with these tiny tots.
We all tried to make those days enjoyable & had great fun. Following activities were the part of camp,
- Craft activity
- Fun games
- Solving puzzles
- Drawing & painting
- Embossing
- Plantation
- Singing
- Dancing
- Drama
- Role playing
- AandhaliKoshimbir(which was not known to kids, but they enjoyed a lot)
- Story telling with actions
- Team games & cherry on cake ‘Horse riding’
While conducting all these activities kids got exposure to many fields & they developed interest too. As some of them wanted craft work, some were interested in painting, some were in dancing & so on ….
I observed that kids are very energetic, as everyday is a day for celebration or party for them. This energy can be channelized by knowing their field of interest. Learning things should be enjoyable to them.
In fact they enjoyed a lot all the activities & were very excited for the next day’s activity. Doing things with same age kids was a fun for them. While planning for roles for drama, I make them to choose the roles in which they all could get fit in. They all discussed with each other & decided the roles with mutual consent & also explained that why this role had been suitable for that specific kid. I was amazed by knowing their thought process & the imagination power. They accepted their roles happily & that was the most important part of that.
Every kid is unique &can not be compared by any other one. The parental role is to identify this unique quality by giving exposure to many fields. Enjoying the parenthood is the happiest part of life. As we know that parental role is role of giving without expecting anything in return. If we understand this we can surely enjoy this stage of parenting in much meaningful way.
Kids listened carefully the stories of mythologyfrom Mrs Vidya Hinge, understanding the values & morals.
